CAMP KILOSI AT THE T. BOONE PICKENS YMCA

Come and spend the summer with the staff of the T. Boone Pickens YMCA and start building a lifetime of quality memories and friends.  Camp for Summer 2010 will be a fun filled adventure unlike any camp you have seen before!

Our camp is designed for boys and girls between the ages of 5 (must have completed kindergarten) and 12.  Camp runs from 7:30am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday.  Camp is held onsite at the T. Boone Pickens YMCA in downtown Dallas at 601 N. Akard, Dallas, TX  75201. 

We will focus on fun learning activities revolving around awareness of the environment, the arts, other cultures and ourselves.  Kids will leave camp with new knowledge and a passion and better understanding of what it means to be a steward in today's world!

We will travel offsite to hands-on explore the world around us and learn how to better serve our communities and the earth on which we live while having a blast!

Dates:

Camp runs in one-week sessions from June 7th through August 13th.  Each weekly session has a *fun activity theme with a field trip. 

Session 1 - June 7-11 (*Architecture - Old Red, Big City Builders)

Session 2 - June 14-18 (*CSI - Undercover Campers - Spy Curriculum)

Session 3 - June 21-25 (*A Bug's Life - Discovery Garden)

Session 4 - June 28-July 2 (*Splish Splash - Dallas Aquarium)

Session 5 - July 5-9 (*Eastern Exploration - Crow Collection of Asian Art)

Session 6 - July 12-16 (*Exploring Nature & Science - Museum of Nature & Science)

Session 7 - July 19-23 (*Winter Wonderland - Ice Skating)

Session 8 - July 26-30 (*Under the Big Top - Circus)

Session 9 - August 2-6 (*Artful Antics - Dallas Museum of Art)

Session 10 - August 9-13 (*Take the Stage - Winspear Opera House)

Costs:

One time registration fee includes camp t-shirt - $35 per child

1 week session costs:  *$125 YMCA Platinum Family Members
                                **$150 Activity Members

What is a YMCA Platinum family member and an activity member?
*A Platinum family YMCA membership allows full access to all YMCAs in the Dallas/Ft. Worth and Arlington areas and discounts on programs at Dallas YMCAs.
**An activity member is a child that becomes part of an activity of the YMCA.  There is no cost for an activity member.

Limited financial assistance available

A $25 deposit is required at registration per session per child.  This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.  Payment in full is due on the Monday (a week in advance) before the session starts.  The $25 is applied toward your balance, not an additional fee.  If payment is not made in full on time, your camper will forgo their reservation and your deposit will not be refunded.

Registration Information:

A copy of your child's shot records is required to sign up for camp as we are licensed by the Texas Department of Family Protective Services.
